[002] Voice - Welcome Back

[Daria looks older since she was last seen, maybe even 30. Her looks have stabilized to something a little less painfully plain, though still intellectual, and her clothes suit her frame. However, she looks every bit as unimpressed as her younger self would.

She remembers how this goes, and turns on the voice feed for her version of letting people know she's back and seeing who's still here that she remembers. Surprisingly, that will be quite a lot of people.]

I thought I stopped having these dreams way back before college.

Must be nerves.

[She is also under the impression that her time in Luceti ended some time ago, and that she has inexplicably been brought back.

Noooooot that I'm aware of. Might be something in the reward shop or whatever for mission points or...whatever. To be honest, I didn't look at it that closely.

I may be older and wiser, but I'm still not really the type they'll be sending on secret missions anytime soon.

They're not secret, really. I mean...they're just things you can do. I went to one, once.

What was that like?

There were guns - which I'd never seen before - and it was sort of a desert. Someone said it was like the - what was it - "Wild West".

I have to admit, I'm sort of imagining a stage set. Or a ghost town from a movie.

Yeah, it was...really real. Sort of a hassle, too, but not all bad.

The Old West is romanticized in movies and novels, but it was a pretty rough time.

Tell me about it. The gun things were a chore to figure out, too.

Yeah, they gave us a mini lesson and everything.

I hope it included a safety course. ['Guns don't kill people'. But dumbasses running around with them and no idea what they're doing sure do.]

Point and shoot, but try not to shoot yourself?

I'm pretty sure most safety courses include more than that. On the other hand, it might be all you need here. As long as you stay away from the center of the village.

What happens if I don't stay away?

Then I'd like advance warning so I can clear out first.
